Have you ever met someone who is always in a bad mood or constantly angry? Their anger is actually a sign of hidden pain. People who are angry are usually hurting inside. You might also know people who avoid socializing and prefer to be alone to protect themselves from getting hurt.
They put up walls around them because they have been deeply hurt. Pain can change a kind person into someone unrecognizable and make them distant and cold. Unresolved emotional wounds that persist due to a lack of knowledge on how to heal them or a tendency to embrace the victim mentality. If you've never been to a mental health asylum you can watch the videos to see, how tormented people are in there. All those emotional struggles stem from deep-seated pain. We should always remember that pain is a natural part of life, but it doesn't have to define your whole life.
